Abstract, experimental photography is one of my main fields of artistic work, but regardless of the direction and field, I look for the possibility of capturing what is ephemeral, what escapes the possibility of our registration, what is easily repressed or remains on the verge of consciousness. I'm not interested in copying reality, or even adhering to it. I'm looking for what is risky and non-obvious, dissonances, cracks on reality. I strive to reflect complex internal states.
One of such activities is a study of light – the series "Under eyelids", which I have been creating since 2009, and for which the starting point was the desire to reflect what appears under the eyelids, when I am on the border between dream and reality, when I fall asleep or wake up. These mirages, afterimages from dreams, which we forget after a while, and which sometimes remain under the surface and come back to us in various ways, I mix with the light, gradually opening my eyelids. At this point, the process of photographing, creating an image, begins.

In 2023 Krzysztof Bieliński founded Experimental Photography School.
He also teaches abstract photography and stage photography at the Studium of the Association of Polish Artist Photographers.
He lectured on theatre photography and poster at Photography Faculty at the Warsaw Film School and at the University of Warsaw.
