“Artistic creation is
an experimental activity and and adventure"
I like to collect all kinds of materials, styles and techniques to find new formal solutions, varying painting styles and techniques on the same object (watercolor, acrylic, expressionism, pop-art, as in “Clematis I to V”) or through using various organic and inorganic materials (twigs, pretzel sticks, laser and inkjet prints, paper collages, as in "Brezeln I, II, "Stick and Stones", "Autumn Leaves", "Clematis I, II, V".
Roland Lampp, born in Germany in 1948, studied electrical engineering and worked in the computer industry for 25 years.
He painted most of his life, mostly in water colour.
In addition to his technical work, he attended various evening courses in Munich (Germany) and summer schools in Florence (Italy) for watercolor painting.
2001-2002 he studied acrylic and oil painting at a private art school in Germany ("Koelner Malschule") with Professor Schlautmann.
2003-2004 he painted under the guidance of the German artist and painter Nicolai Vogt.
The Roland Lampp is living and painting in Chania (Greece) and Munich (Germany)
