My name is Jean-Luc Macharé Lavini (J-Luc MACLAV), a Peruvian painter based in Biarritz, France.
My work explores psychedelic introspection inspired by dreams and altered states of consciousness. I use hypnagogia as a tool to access inner imagery and to bring to light the inner void we feel the need to fill.
My paintings are created through free association and intuition. Nothing is planned in advance; each canvas emerges naturally, guided by the unconscious. This spontaneous process is influenced by a surrealist approach and invites the viewer into a space between consciousness and dream.
