I’m Mokhidius, a self-taught visual artist whose connection with art began long before I knew what “art” even meant.
At the age of five, I was already drawing—not with pencils or paint—but using **wood charcoal meant for fire (traditional cooking fuel)**, and sometimes the **carbon rods found inside old radio batteries**. I would draw on walls, floors, or any surface I could find, purely driven by instinct and a natural urge to express something within me.
Back then, I had no idea that what I was doing was called "art," or that someone who does it is called an "artist."
As I grew older, I began to explore drawing more intentionally. I taught myself everything—through curiosity, experimentation, and repetition. Today, I’m returning to that same raw energy I had as a child, but with a more mature and deliberate approach.
As I grew older, I began to consciously explore drawing and continued teaching myself, refining my vision and technique along the way. Today, I am returning to those roots—revisiting the raw, expressive energy of my early drawings—but now on canvas, using charcoal instead of carbon rods found inside old radio batteries.
