Abstract Artist >> Meg Nezaj is an Aussie residing in Zurich, Switzerland. Her greatest desire is to uplift others with her passion for life and creativity. The overall idea of her work is simply “adding colour to empty space” translated onto large scale canvas, making her paintings ideal for people who have an appreciation for colour, and modern style living. The artist prefers simple expression of the complex thought and firmly believes that art should portray the spiritual realm and not just the visual world. Moreover, she considers herself a women of faith and shares her spiritual journey through each work. When Meg isn`t painting, she enjoys writing, and is passionate about offering her creativity to support women`s ministry and campaigns supporting world peace. She has also donated a few of her paintings to an orphange in Sydney, Australia which inspired her to paint on a larger scale in 2006. “Creating abstract paintings resonates so deeply within me, perhaps it`s the freedom of the work, the focus on colour and not on objects; brings me alive.” – Meg Nezaj Her technique is self-taught, however resembles best to action painting. She starts a painting spontaneously, pouring paint & with palette-knife rather than using brushes. The canvas spread across the floor, dripping and splashing with total control. She expresses herself purely through bold, vibrant colours, texture & composition. The titles are derived in the same spontaneous fashion. Meg comes from a graphic & design background, and has published a poetry collection under the title “Soul in Motion” – Modern Poetry which features a wide selection of her abstract paintings.
