2DARA Print

This is the third drawing of a famous Bulgarian singer called Dara (Darina Yotova). The inspiration came from her, I drew her photorealistically in January 2020, and drew this expressing the freedom of love and connection. I wanted to use color to express each feeling and thought I have towards her. I am really moved by her Art (music) and this is the anticipation to see her in real life, a bit of frustration, since we are in quarantine, but lots of love even though she looks grotesque in this piece of art. I hope the people viewing this will see a new different way of expressing affection. I drew this drawing with charcoal and pastels since my current studio is my home and dont have the ability to create with oils and on big canvases! The name is a bit of a world play 2D ( second dimension) and the addition of ARA to create DARA which is her name. Also I feel that this drawing is just one of her many appearances in the second dimension.
