The girls. The lights. Those nights when disaster smells of conquest, when, in a whirling twirling mass of flexible beautiful bodies, you melt in with their movement and you feel dragged in to their lurid and enchanting dance. At first you don't like it, it feels awkward, but then you pick up the rhythm and it becomes yours. Crazy bubbly nights of joy where everything feels possible and you forget momentarily that you thought you were losing. No need to say that I find oil pastels are wonderfully suited for organic shapes, and fluid lines, a great way of depicting movement as well as human bodies. This was a lot of fun to make, I had the model switch between different short poses.
