Hello! I'm Aine. I am an artist and digital painter. Welcome to my gallery. Let me tell you a bit about myself. My father was an artist, and he was teaching me about drawing and painting as he was teaching me how to talk and read. The language of art became as much a part of me as breathing. Some of my earliest memories are of me drawing and coloring on the floor next to his easel while he worked. I remember having hundreds of questions about what he was doing and how he was magically bringing all of those scenes to life. To this day, I am amazed and thankful for the patience he showed in teaching me. I use my art to explore the connections I have with my father, the people I care about, and the world. I believe in this age of computers, big cities, and long work weeks, many people have lost touch with the world around them and with themselves. I paint to capture moments of exquisite beauty. I paint to transform dreams, thoughts, emotions, hopes, and fears into something visual and tangible, and lasting. I seek to transform those things that are too large for words into something that we can see and remember and look at over and over again. Sharing those feelings, I hope to show people something of what they have lost within themselves. Painting is mindfulness, meditation, and a way to become whole after the world has frayed my edges. All of my work is digital, painted in some combination of Corel Painter and Photoshop. Pieces are limited to 10 prints, and they are printed with archival quality inks as specified in the piece description. Dibond metal pieces are printed with Mimaki UV Inks. Canvas pieces are printed on Silverada canvas with Epson Ultrachrome GSX They come with a Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity, and are hand signed and numbered. Dibond prints are textured and show the brush strokes clearly.
