What happens when you have a sleeping gift? More on the lines of a hobby turning into a passion? Prajakta was always the geeky child, but something stirred in her while in the 4th grade! Someone who was always stuck with books had found a new world of colors! With no background in painting, she found herself sketching anything and everything that caught her fancy! Be it pencils, erasers, sharpeners, you name it and she must have done a wobbly sketch! She put in a great many hours just trying to understand this new her! And it was fascinating! With time, these amateur sketches turned into practiced watercolor, oil paints, and acrylics. These acrylics stayed with her the longest. She was in her happiest phase ever. She had found her calling! She knew she was nowhere near her actual goals, but it was somewhere around this time she decided to turn this passion into her profession. She wanted to be an artist! The very sound of it gave her goosebumps! She worked hard and gave it all. A supportive family is another advantage and motivation here :) But as fate would have it, she couldn't get the required training and education to pursue it, be the limited availability in the institution she chose, or her refusal to the wait for a year to get into it. So she chose to go in for a stable option and turned into an IT engineer. Currently, she is working in an amazing firm as a manager and trying to juggle in some quality time to paint. And, she just needs to paint! This phrase itself makes her happy! Somewhere close to colors is where she sees herself while she runs towards the rainbow! That is the treasure she seeks!
