Jesus Garcia "Chucho" was born on 1983 in Havana, Cuba. His artistic process begins since he was very young. His maternal grandfather, Guillermo Anido enhanced his passion for drawing and painting, training him on several techniques of pencil drawing. The Anido family has been for generations a family of well-known artists in the central part of Cuba, in the province of Las Villas. During his childhood, he made several series of drawings and even participated in several drawing competitions in which he was among the top three. In his adolescence, he studied art with private instructors. Then he joined the Institute of Design in Havana to study Arts and Design. During the five years of study at the Academy, he participated in several exhibitions and art competitions being in first and second place. After he left Cuba, Chucho lived in Mexico City for a year and a half, at that time was mainly devoted to graphic design. Then, he moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he began a new life that will give a boost to his career as an artist. In PA, he mainly on landscape painting inspired by the unfamiliar and cold views in that part of the county. After a couple of years, he moved to Hollywood in Florida, where he settled for more than four years and came back to brushes and canvas. At this time, he completed a series of landscapes and conceptual artwork about a somewhat controversial topic for him: the political and emotional situation of Cuba after 50 years of dictatorship and embargo.
