"Gamarro" was born on the 28th of June 1972, into an artistic family. He now lives and works in Toledo. In childhood he developed a keen interest in drawing, as well as color and photography. He soon began submitting his work to commercial poster competitions for young artists. Gamarro´s paintings evoke the forms and colours of La Mancha, not only burnt dry summers of the plain, but also winters of bleak isolation. In part, his work is lyrical and if that were all, it could be soon dismised. Underneath, there lurks a dark sensuality, a preoccupation with the murky recesses of the soul.
