About The Artwork

My paintings emerge through a visual description of past spaces directed by color and form. On canvas the colors pull from memory and imagination and are meant to bring a viewer into my space. This piece was created on a hand stretched canvas and inspired by memories.

The focus of my work remains in line with perception of the visible world. Regardless of my point of view, or yours, our world materializes through form and color. I explore manipulations of perceived space, time, and memories and how it changes based on an individual's perspective. The Cooper Union, New York, NY, May 2019 Thoughts on color: I love creating a diverse palette that takes shape through intuitive forms, transporting my viewers across boundaries of color, harmony, and individualized perception. Finding a sense of peace or relaxation through my art is also something I find has importance in my creation process. I find watching the paint move across my canvas with such elegance is a sight I have yet to become tired of. I have a *gentle* obsession with mixing colors and creating new palettes referenced from nature.
