About The Artwork

Let All That We Do Be Done In Love - Gerbera Daisies - 75 x 75 x 2.5 cm 24/09/2022 By HSIN LIN Artist Acrylic on Acid-free canvas. Sealed with clear spray varnish. Side panels painted Signed at the front and ready to hang. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surrounding, during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by a beautiful bouquet of Gerbera gifted by a dear friend of mine. I wanted to keep this beautiful moment in my memory forever, therefore I decided to freeze the glorious blooming moment on Canvas. A Salute to the beautiful friendship and all the love that we have. Do you have someone that you care about? Maybe share this artwork with that special someone and say I love you today. Gerbera has a few meanings, but all lean-to happiness. The flowers symbolized happiness and gratefulness for the life you have been given. They are a celebration of life. The Egyptians believed that the gerbera would lessen the sorrows and stresses of everyday life in the old days. It also has a meaning of closeness to nature and devotion to the sun. Gerbera Daisies are strong perennial plants with a delightful flower message too - Let happiness be your compass. The title of this artwork is inspired by: [Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, and love without stopping. Let all that you do be done in love. ]- 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 The Message (MSG) - WILD BOTANICAL ABSTRACT SERIES BY HSIN LIN- Artwork inspired by nature in Bayswater, Melbourne, Australia, Spring 2022. -HSIN LIN Exhibition: 1st FEB – 30th Mar 2023 VAS PATTERNS & COLOURS EXHIBITION at The Victorian Artists Society Solo Exhibition : 11 - 22 Jan 2024 - HSIN LIN Solo Exhibition- Blossoms of Life at VAS McCubbin Gallery. HSIN LIN, Award-winning Artist based in Melbourne, Australia. In Hsin Lin’s ongoing, signature contemporary floral series that feature native and common flowers we know, flowers represent life and each different type of flower has a unique symbolic meaning. Lin is inspired by her close observation of the natural world. Through a process of careful looking Lin is able to capture an incredible amount of intricate detail. To create the larger-scale work, Lin normally spends 6-12 months developing the intricate composition. The fine details such as the tiny petals have been developed through ten or more layers of paint. Lin describes that ‘although still-life is considered a traditional genre, each object in the paintings stands for a different meaning and has its own story. Flowers represent us as humans, vases represent the body carrying our soul, protecting us like a shield. The weaving basket stands for connections—the bonds between families, friends and all the people around us. Even if you are apart, everyone is still being linked together as a whole and we are stronger together.’ Lin’s paintings, a series of flowers in full bloom, remind us that we are alive and that life is vibrant, blossoming and full of potential. [BIOGRAPHY] Hsin Lin is a Melbourne-based award-winning artist who specializes in contemporary floral paintings.
