About The Artwork
This piece is part of my miniature raven series, a follow up exploration from my large oil raven series created last year. My raven studies are about the personality of the creatures and their movement and shape. I enjoy the monochromatic detail when painting/drawing these birds, and pulling out touches of color in highlight and low lights, in subtle tones. This coupled with the stark contrast of lights and darks, I feel, make for a dramatic subject. This piece in on canvas board.

I was a resident artist at The Loft Gallery & Studios, San Pedro, CA until Covid-19 lock down. I have been working as an artist since before graduating high school, but my love of fine art painting began in 1991 at Long Road College, Cambridge, UK, under the direction of painter Andy Crocker, my inspiration. I currently work as an artist & designer creating design, concept art, animation, illustration and art commissions for clients across industries to include: Kids, Toys & Collectibles, Food, Health, Music & Entertainment.
