ABOUT THE ARTWORK
" When you Exploded Into My heart" is a painting inspired by a descriptive line from the lyrics of a song' Romeo and Juliet' written by Mark Knopfler,which was in turn inspired by his failed romance. The song speaks of a Romeo who is still very much in love with his Juliet, but she now treats him like "just another one of her deals". The image evolved as I listened to the very obviously heartfelt words of love and loss.I used vibrant red and blue with yellow and green watercolour and ink in a free expressionist style to convey strong emotion .
