ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The "Winter Solstice" portrait and the moonflower embody the themes of darkness, hope, and new beginnings. This piece is inspired by the longest night of the year, a time for reflection and renewal. It captures the essence of transformation, symbolising how even in the darkest moments, there is the promise of light and rebirth. Each work reflects my interpretation of the world around me, influenced by Pop Art, musical arts, and the symbolism found in everyday life. I aim to evoke a sense of curiosity and emotion in viewers, inviting them to connect with the stories behind my art. My drippy paint style, enriched with glittering elements, adds dynamic texture that draws the eye. This collection harmoniously blends Renaissance realism with the vibrant energy of Pop Art, Street Art, and the intricate symbolism reminiscent of Gustav Klimt’s style. Original Artwork current Exhibition Salon Contemporary Arts, Simon Henry, Green Lane, Derby. 6th September- 23rd October 2024. Previously Exhibited at Arthouse.NYC in partnership with Salomon Arts Gallery and Ideal Glass Studios, West Street, New York. Awards: Juried winner at ArthouseNYC, April 2021 & July 2021.
