Abigail Ekue is a photographer and curator focusing on gender, social representation, and body neutrality. She also creates lifestyle and editorial photography. She is the photographer behind the "Bare Men" series. Her work has been published in PAPER, The Huffington Post, Time Out New York, L'Oeil de la Photographie along with numerous international outlets and exhibited in the Museum of the City of New York, the Erotic Heritage Museum (Las Vegas), Houston Center for Photography, Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum (Bronx, NY) and BKhz Gallery (Johannesburg). Abigail Ekue's work has been cited in graduate thesis on vulnerable masculinity, design in independent pornographic publishing, and research on the differences in the depiction of males versus females in fashion photography. Work from her portrait portfolio is at the Department of Photography of the University of Athens. Current personal projects include the ‘SHE Rides’ portrait series featuring female motorcycle riders across the US and her dynamic B&W portraits stories of Black creatives, artists and visionaries, "Black in Black & White".
