About The Artwork

I have been taking photographs in this manner for 10 years. To my knowledge, no one else is. Why? I'm an award winning songwriter, poet and photographer... Yes, I have won awards in all three. I have a book out, a CD, and my poems have been published in literary magazines, and along with Billy Ed Wheeler in the same issue. I took this one with my new Nikon D-300 S…a nice camera. I am really pleased with this photo. I am thinking of calling these photographs, Wet Paint, because they are so fresh and new. If you enjoy Einstein, when he was beginning his career he pictured a moving train in his mind and conducted a thought experiment. This led him to crack the code and break the mold that the world was stuck in. He realized there is no space without time, and that there is no now, for everywhere. Hence my title for this photo, Trees in Space/Time My photos also deal with how we perceive physical reality. Our whole lives we have been taught what shapes are. A red circular ball shape is an apple, or a ball. But what if it's moving? If you look closely at this photograph for a long spell, you will see a bit of shape shifting. You will pick out human facial features perhaps. Kind of spooky really. It depends on your own imagination, but sometimes there really does appear to be 'something else' in the photographs, and maybe there is. So have fun...I particularly like the composition of this photo. It is also full frame, as most of mine are. I have to take many, many photographs to get one where all the elements come together in a pleasing composition. This one is pretty close to perfect, and it's one in 5000, I'd say. So when I saw this one in my monitor later, I got a buzz. Yes, art creation makes me high...I hope it does you too, and I hope you will make a purchase. Thank you. https://youtu.be/IyvibLfHnS4 Somewhere between Impressionistic and Surrealism, Composition is important, Detail is important, Contrast is important, Lighting is important. Beauty is important. Freezing the subject is not important. tripod free. holding the camera is important as facilitator. It's been a revelation to me what the camera is capable of. And what the human eyes does not see. So this is visibility. Expanded. (I will say, the shutter speed is slow and the aperture setting is appropriately 22 ish or smaller). Monet and the Impressionists and the Decisive Moment photographs, who tried to capture what they saw when they saw it. I have brought us much closer to this goal. These photographs are made in the field, at the moment I press the shutter button of my camera. They require little more than your basic darkroom work. I started taking pictures when I was 12. Even then I was ahead of my time, taking pictures of my Weimeraner dressed up in sweat pants, seated upon my go-cart, and on the roof my parents house. (The dog was the trusting sort). I also came up with the Ken Burns Effect before Ken Burns, with a video I made and still have. I was a photojournalist in WV for 20 years. In 2007 I began taking these Unique Fine Art Photographs, One day they will rock the art world. Get in now on the ground floor, if you're an investor, or if you just appreciate beautiful, unique fine art photography, or nature, revealed as the human eye has never seen it before, for the very first time in these photographs. If you like, buy one please. Needing that validation. T. Paige
