Perception, Art, and the Collector’s Eye Perception shapes reality, yet it is fragile-easily influenced, constantly shifting. My art practice is an ongoing exploration of how perception can be re-engineered, inviting viewers to question what they think they know. Through form, color, and symbolism, I create works that disrupt the familiar, prompting a deeper engagement with the act of seeing itself. My process is rooted in deep research. I meticulously examine my subject matter, studying its development, transformations, and potential outcomes. This investigative approach allows me to uncover hidden connections and patterns that inform my work. However, I balance this analytical depth with a commitment to traditional and fundamental artistic techniques. By employing time-honored methods, I ground my conceptual explorations in a tangible, tactile reality—bridging past wisdom with contemporary inquiry. Psychologically, our minds are wired to seek patterns and meaning, often without questioning their origins. My work taps into this process, uncovering the hidden biases that shape interpretation. By creating moments of cognitive tension—where perception and understanding diverge—I challenge viewers to pause, reconsider, and perhaps discover a new way of seeing. Biologically, perception is not passive but an active construction. Our brains filter and reconstruct reality, filling in gaps based on memory and expectation. My work plays with these neurological tendencies, creating visual experiences that shift depending on the viewer’s perspective, emotional state, or even the light in which they are observed. Why Collect My Work? Art is more than an object—it is a catalyst. To collect my work is to engage in a continuous dialogue with perception, to own a piece that evolves in meaning over time. My work is for those who seek more than aesthetics; it is for those who appreciate intellectual depth, research-driven inquiry, and the mastery of traditional techniques. Each piece I create is an invitation: to see differently, to think deeply, and to embrace the uncertainty of perception. When you collect my work, you are not just acquiring an artwork—you are participating in a journey of exploration, where truth is not given but discovered.
