Rand obtained a BSc in Management with Marketing from Royal Holloway, University of London, then worked in advertising until she found herself delving deep into her childhood hobby: art.
She completed a sight-size drawing course at The Florence Art Studio in Florence, Italy, then obtained a Graduate Diploma in Art & Design with a specialism in Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art, London, UK.
Rand has been selling her work online through her Instagram page @Rawthentic.art since 2018.
Her open-minded approach can be due to her roots as a Jordanian woman raised in Amman, Brussels and London. She perceives herself as being too westernized for the Middle East yet an alien to the West. Today, she aspires to continue to explore her identity and key themes and stories that are vital to her personal growth through her practice.
