I enjoy creating expressive art that gives me visual pleasure and hopefully connects with others. I generally start my work with an image I connect with and then begin my interactive, artistic process that guides me to a satisfying resolution. Figures and portraits in a landscape are my main painting genres and I like to use complementary colours expressively that illuminate. I spend a lot of time ensuring I am happy with the final composition and I am fascinated by the subtle ways that spontaneous paint layers, shapes and textures create secondary apparitions in a painting. I have always been interested in art and started drawing and painting on and off about 16 years ago as a hobby and, over the years, worked fulltime. When I started selling my paintings I began believing in my work and the possibility of becoming an artist. Painting overtook my life. I am currently a full-time, professional Australian artist with the best years to come. My work can be viewed by going to: indigoart.com.au
