SKRRT COBAIN works as a visual artist from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He uses instant- and 35mm film- cameras as his main tools for creating his images.
Skrrt Cobain self-publishes zines, books and other printed publications. The first of which sold out in no time. As per popular demand he is now offering his limited edition printed matter through this worldwide respected platform.
Skrrt Cobain has a background in Skateboarding, BMX riding and Graffiti, to name a few sources where inspiration and aesthetics is being pulled from.
Skrrt Cobain as a name derives from the crossover of subcultures he was involved in and it also reflects the bridge of generations. Being young listening to bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth and Mudhoney and now listening to a wide variety of music including new sounds, (Skrrt is an often used ad-lib in new hip-hop) hence the wordplay in Skrrt Cobain.
