Back in 2006 Delphine Têtenoire migrated from France to New Caledonia, a little paradise island in south Pacific ocean, east of Australia. She travels extensively- Melanesia, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Delphine is a self educated painter who combines in her abstract canvases, just like in her personal life, Melanesian traditional islander colors with French sophistication.
She paints with rich oils and plays whimsically with textures of her art as she does with her colors. She uses painting spatulas and knifes and brushes to achieve a bountiful diversity and fulfillment of expression.
Her canvases will carry you on a magical journey to limitless imaginative destinations. From a New York City afternoon to a warm breeze on a safari in Africa or surf-break in South Pacific.
