I am interested in using collage to combine and juxtapose seemingly unconnected elements to create distorted and strange narratives, compiled from the vast visual resources that we have. In this sequence I have taken imagery from 18th and 19th century illustrations, engravings and etchings found in novels, teaching aids and catalogues, to construct a new set of etched imagery which plays, in a neo-surrealist way, with historic artefacts, fact and fantasy.
