My paintings and drawings are investigations into rural life and rural landscapes. The art work reflects a long standing relationship with mixed media, abstraction, color and found materials. I usually find discarded materials first then the idea comes to me. The material is a gift from a "2 much stuff" world and I create with the help of an unbeknownst public. I want my work to be a mirror to the viewer showing beauty and ugly. But in viewing I hope he or she comes away with a richer understanding of life and the world.
