This collection of digital trees holds a special connection to my late grandmother, who collected small items in anticipation of being visited in her later years after a lifetime of hard work. Her encouragement during my childhood tree drawings, believing I would become a great artist, resonates in this collection. I aim for viewers to contemplate the passage of time, contrasting the rapid pace for humans with the steadfast growth of trees. The collection is intentionally miniature, designed for small frames to adorn a white wall. I opted for the digital medium as its colors vividly convey the kind, happy, generous, energetic, and powerful spirit of my late grandmother. In keeping with the tradition of the Quitenian school of art in colonial times, where miniature pieces were prevalent, I seek to pay homage to that era. These miniatures can be hung on narrow walls with frames. Please note that this is a miniature piece, a digital work that will be printed for you on matte paper for optimal appreciation. It comes unframed, and I recommend framing it for display. Hardware is not included.

Ecuador
An Ecuadorian artist, navigates the local artistic landscape with a distinctive approach, diverging from the typical dichotomy prevalent among Quitenian artists. Rather than aligning with the bohemian left or the elite, art-educated right, Angela embraces her identity as an ambitious Quitenian with a down-to-earth perspective. Balancing her artistic pursuits with a middle-class sensibility, Angela introduces a unique voice in the narrative of Ecuador's art scene. She modestly considers herself a sui generis expressionist, influenced by her early exposure to art through her mother, Angie, and the captivating oil-painting sessions with her aunt-in-law, the esteemed artist Micaela Almeida.Angela's artistic journey began with humble doodles of flowers, symbolizing intimacy and family bonds. Her style, marked by an indiscriminate use of colors, reflects her innate creativity. Turning to digital mediums for expression, she reserves traditional materials for moments of artistic freedom. Angela, embracing vulnerability, desires a return to the simplicity of white canvases. She discreetly embeds messages in her art, inviting viewers to discover joy in nature scenes, and showcasing Quitenian humor with humility and depth.
