This small and delicate artist's book reflects on the fragility and wonder of life, how it comes to be, from a cell to a being, growing and evolving until finally fades away, transformed into new particles by entropy forces. To represent it, I chose to use soft materials as well as a very neutral color palette. Watercolor to mark different stages, hand embroidery to create organic forms, thread-binding, velvet to make the covers and a concertina structure, wchich allows movement, so the piece can be opened and placed in different angles. All this relates to the changes (biological, emotional, physical) we all go through life.

Sometimes I draw. Sometimes I paint. Sometimes I make objects. But most of all, I make artists' books. For me, the book is a sacred, magic object. One that has different kinds of power in it, from a time - capsule that shows specific events, cultural heritage, family stories, to a strong critical voice. Whenever I paint, I focus on form and color. Color has been always interesting for me and I keep exploring its possibilities. I also integrate drawing-like strokes into painting in order to create something in between. Finally, Drawing manifests itself within my work either on paper, graphic arts such as printmaking or litography and in embroidery. For me, Embroidery is at the same time, drawing and writing. In terms of subject, I reflect about memory, melancholic figures and gender-based violence. I find today's world manifests through these atmospheres.
