Personal interpretation of Euphorbia cotinifolia against the Quitenian sky. The Euphorbia cotinifolia, with its red leaves, offers a breathtaking spectacle, especially during the last part of the extended winter in Ecuador. I hope this image allows everyone to experience the beauty of these trees, and I express a wish for more studies and popularity for these remarkable trees. I chose the digital medium to enhance the vibrant colors. The passionate red leaves symbolize the intensity of the climate, the fervor of the people, and the persistent sun, even in winter. Keep in mind that this is a miniature piece. It will be printed on matte paper for you to enjoy to the fullest. It comes unframed, and I recommend framing it for display. Hardware is not included. Miniature pieces were prevalent in Quitenian art during colonial times, and I seek to honor that tradition with my own creations. These miniature pieces are ideal for narrow walls, framed and displayed as a tribute to Quitenian art's historical significance.

Ecuador
An Ecuadorian artist, navigates the local artistic landscape with a distinctive approach, diverging from the typical dichotomy prevalent among Quitenian artists. Rather than aligning with the bohemian left or the elite, art-educated right, Angela embraces her identity as an ambitious Quitenian with a down-to-earth perspective. Balancing her artistic pursuits with a middle-class sensibility, Angela introduces a unique voice in the narrative of Ecuador's art scene. She modestly considers herself a sui generis expressionist, influenced by her early exposure to art through her mother, Angie, and the captivating oil-painting sessions with her aunt-in-law, the esteemed artist Micaela Almeida.Angela's artistic journey began with humble doodles of flowers, symbolizing intimacy and family bonds. Her style, marked by an indiscriminate use of colors, reflects her innate creativity. Turning to digital mediums for expression, she reserves traditional materials for moments of artistic freedom. Angela, embracing vulnerability, desires a return to the simplicity of white canvases. She discreetly embeds messages in her art, inviting viewers to discover joy in nature scenes, and showcasing Quitenian humor with humility and depth.
