Deeper questions about life, its purpose, meaning, human nature and potential, lead me to contemplate and face the reality of death for the first time during this series of drawings, Memento Mori. It is a latin phrase for this idea, stated simply as "remember death". Though it could be a morbid rumination, I found this awareness brought more purpose to my life. Years later I have continued my investigation into these ideas and found much to be considered, far beyond my initial imaginings.

b 1977 I am deeply interested in human nature and understanding the principles that move our behaviors, desires, intentions and awareness. I love real beauty and genuine kindness, which I believe to be correlated and difficult to see clearly. It takes real depth. I live in Venice Beach, California near the ocean.
