I am a contemporary artist based in East London. My art reflects the world around me and is deeply inspired by the natural environment and the everyday experiences. In my work, I aim to capture the intangible - those sensations and energies that are felt rather than seen. My practice evolved through exploration and experimentation with various mediums, textures, and canvas shapes. Recently, I have been incorporating embroidery collages into my paintings, a nod to my Lithuanian heritage and my upbringing in the countryside where embroidery was a significant part of life. These elements bring a personal and deeply rooted touch to my work, connecting my past with my present. I create unique compositions by connecting various shaped canvases, allowing them to disrupt and interact with the surrounding space. This dynamic interplay emphasizes the ever-changing nature of life and the movement of energy through my art. My formal education began at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, where I earned my BA in Fine Arts/Painting in 2007. I am currently expanding my horizons further with an MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School (2024-2025). Over the years, I have exhibited my work extensively, both in solo and group exhibitions, and have been honoured with several prestigious awards. Selected latest group exhibitions include the RA Summer Exhibition (2024), The Waverton Art Prize (2024), Jackson’s Art Prize (2024), Works on Paper 6 at Blue Shop Gallery (2024), The Scalpel project by The Chaucer x Mall Galleries, (2024-2023). In 2021 I participated in the "Radical Residency VI" at Unit-1 Gallery|Workshop and exhibited my work at the end of residency show. My art has found a place in public collections, including The Chaucer Group at The Scalpel skyscraper in central London, and Blue Shop Gallery in London. Through my vibrant and expressive works, I continue to push the boundaries of contemporary painting, inviting viewers to experience the world through my unique lens.
