Since this salt lake in the eastern sierras in california has been cut off its main water supply from the owens river some 80 years ago to cover the growing demand for water in Los Angeles, the lake has more or less run dry. To stop the enormous dust problem which for that reason occurred, since several years a small portion of the river water remains untouched. A wild mix of human impact like mining and salt exploitation, and - of course - natural processes - mostly based on micro organism -, created a overwhelmingly rich tapestry of colors, patterns and structures when seen from the air. The abstract look, the field of tension between natural and human impact and somehow the beauty of a disaster as well are only some aspects making this and other similar locations around the globe so fascinating. Printed on Hahnemühle Photorag Baryta or Lambda C-Print Signed either on the front or back or on separate sticker depending on the final finish with Certificate of origin All sizes available: (10x 60x90, 5x 80x120, 3x 100x150, 3x 120x180) Total amount of prints 21 + 1 AP of every size

Based on his Nature, Landscape and Architecture photography, his artistic work is influenced by Monet and the classical Modern Art, his interest is the transformation of the 3 dimensional space into the flat plane in which often the subject looses its visual references. This induces a more abstract view which is open for interpretation. 2019 his book "Water" is published worldwide by teNeues publisher.
