My surreal and poetic theory explains that humans before birth were fish men, who lived at the bottom of the ocean, which symbolizes the womb and at birth they are separated from their world, based on the theory "the trauma of birth" of Otto Rank where neurosis, anxiety and mental disorders come from birth which is a traumatic act". The fish men are entities without gender, that is why they wear masks, only spirits swimming, our unconscious, the place where we turn to generate answers, something like the origin. The technique is lost plate engraving, I like the challenge generated by achieving colors with the juxtaposition of inks and knowing that it is impossible to reprint the work, it is a unique piece.

My work is inspired by a metaphor that I created over 3 years, the world of fish men, which takes place in surreal landscapes inhabited by characters with human and fish characteristics.
