“My Dreams” When 3-4 years ago at the international exhibition of textiles and wallpapers in Frankfurt, I first saw soft pink and blue interiors with round pouffes and gilded details, my inner designer shuddered "where is the world heading?" I thought. At that moment, I seriously thought about why, why, as a consumer, I was offered to live in such an infantile-childish world. Now, after years, I even sometimes like these design solutions, but the question remains open. After thinking carefully, I decided that humanity is very tired of so much constantly forcing information flow, of endless instability, social rotation and change; and wants, as in childhood, to curl up and hide in his cozy pink-baby little world. It is curious that just a hundred years ago, boys were dressed in pink, and girls were dressed in sky blue. How things have changed. At that time, a young, well-developed, handsome man posed in our class. In my opinion, his position was not difficult, but he could not lie down without movement even for 10 minutes. In general, his posing was more like an eel dancing on a hot frying pan. None of the artists dared to make a remark to him in fear that he would be offended and leave us. I have never seen our female models behave like this, given that they have to stand for 20 minutes without moving in more difficult angles. Yes, apparently the world is changing: women are becoming more resilient and self-confident, and men are becoming more and more spoiled and gentle. Therefore, for this drawing, I chose such an unusual combination of colors: soft pink with sky blue. And on the foreground is a spinning top as a reminder of the illusory nature and changeability of our world. In the background behind the figure are poems by the Lithuanian poet R. Liutkevičius.

For the past few years, I have been concentrating on the theme of animate and inanimate nature. Starting with the theme of roots and delving into the beauty and variety of small details of flowering meadows. In the context of nature, I include lonely images of people as an integral part of the living world. In depicting human beings, for me, it is not only their physical beauty that is important, but also the transmission of their momentary mood, psychological well-being. Sometimes in my drawings I allow myself to be ironic about myself and what I find funny or remarkable in other people. But at the same time, I consciously avoid depressive and aggressive images, because it contradicts my inner ethic not to multiply the violence in the world. I would like to classify my work as Magical Realism, but I think my work reflects more of a psychological Existentialism, looking for its embodiment in natural motifs. 1995-1999 studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts and in 1999.
