12.5 cm x 17.5 cm with white border on Bristol Monotype 2023 "In 'Ce n'est pas un Boucherie,' see the evolution of a storefront in Metz, France, which once housed a butcher shop and has now transformed into a men's store. This monotype artwork emanates a vibrant and painterly feel, paying homage to the enduring spirit of change. With a palette bursting with bright colors, it's a testament to the resilience of places and their ability to adapt to the times – where the past meets the present in a burst of lively hues. The unique monotype process adds depth and a rich painterly quality to this portrayal, making the transformation all the more visually compelling. I aim to create a fusion of memory and a sense of place in my creations. You can see my process of making monotypes on my TikTok @bluelavaart Flat on paper and signed.
