A dark and mystical diorama. Kristjana's take on a Flemish Masters' oil painting. The Flemish painters were masters of the oil medium and used it primarily to portray a robust and realistically detailed vision of the world around them. Kristjana brings this 'Oil world' into the modern day by redesigning it into a layered diorama with her mystical creatures and interesting elements woven into the original oil world. Each of the 5 layers are laser cut and slotted into a bespoke white wooden frame with double anti reflective glass. Each piece is numbered and signed by the artist. This piece is a part of the Oil World Diorama trilogy. Each of the 3 pieces comes in an edition of 45. In February 2018, this piece was on edition 10/45. Kristjana’s prints are sold through many sales channels and some of them sell fast. Therefore we can not guarantee that the next edition is the one you will receive if you buy this print. If you would like to know what the next available edition number is, please contact Saatchi Art customer service before placing your order. The artwork will arrive safely in a cardboard box.
