Most recent work: a reconstruction of Michelangelo, made using information gleaned from the bronze made by Daniello da Volterra from Michelangeo's death mask. The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford kindly let me have access to this glorious artefact this summer, so that I could draw it, take measurements and then make the reconstruction.
Current work: private commission for posthumous portrait
Ai Weiwei portrait in cement exhibited at Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park in Argyll, on the West Coast of Scotland Summer 2012. Portrait is 1.5 x life size deep relief, modelled in clay and cast in cement. Surrounded by sunflowers, and bearing the word "Reflect", the piece was completed and submerged under water at the sculpture park at the time Ai Weiwei was released from house arrest.
Current work: private commission for posthumous portrait.
