About Annika Finne
I am a graduate student in art history and art conservation at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts. By painting, I intend to create objects using the love, care, and sacred reverence characteristic of how art conservators handle priceless artifacts of our cultural heritage. In these objects, I draw on the continuum of strategies by which past artists have articulated the value of their images and the continuum of strategies by which art historians have established and cemented that value.
