About Annika Finne
I paint to make the things I paint more sacred. My strategies include: 1. painting subjects already sacralized (the sanctuary architecture at Samothrace, the nave of Munich's Michaelerkirche, Bruegel's Tower of Babel) 2. making and painting paper sculptures of my subjects. 3. combining the above. I am a graduate student in art history and art conservation at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts.
