By reinterpreting media-based photography, I explore the facets of staging illusion. The vehicle that binds these images is the innate desire to impress through the experience of wealth and the representation of beauty. The source material encounters a botched developing at the hands of blind contour drawing and layers of acrylic glazes. The method of production shatters the source’s intended perspective, underscoring the subtle manipulations of image production. The result is a radically altered view of the subject matter in which the spirit of the original photograph is retained just enough to preserve its lure
