Portraits and nudes

The pieces in this collection are responses to the human - the figure, the face and the space that they occupy. My work is accutely observed then interpreted through visceral mark making. I work over my screen prints or pre painted work to add elements of wonder and to anchor the work to the paper. Giacometti - Diebenkorn - Mondigliani - Motherwell - Matisse - Mellis and Picasso feed in to my work but from here I am experimental; constantly evolving my own visual language to bring original and interesting perspectives to my work.
