WAVE

LED installation, controller, 192x56x49cm, 2008 As the LED light tubes are embedded in the surface of a sculpture as undulating and winding waves, the work is able to display the images of sunrise and sunset in the form of motion pictures. Through utilizing LED material, the sculpture elevates the 2-D image into a 3-D image, and attempts to transform the illusion of the light into a concrete, tangible and sensible thing. The wavy sea is one that illuminates by itself, and the illumination exists everywhere the sea goes.
