About William Hanson
A painter might use their recall of that thing that was - visual, tactile, aural: A particular interval of pain somewhere between that "real" world and what might be at this moment. Memory provision of those particulars, with temporary retention of a blur image: Primal, instinctual, destruction, apocryphal and serendipity. All to create a painting. Then bliss. Then the hangover. Next day, open mine eyes.
