About William Hanson
A painter might use their recall of that thing that was - visual, tactile, aural: A particular interval of pain somewhere between that "real" world and what might be at this moment. Memory provision of those particulars, with temporary retention of a blur image: Primal, instinctual, destruction, apocryphal and serendipity. All to create a painting. Then bliss. Then the hangover. Next day, do it all over again.

After 1998, I now no longer participate in events because a serious accident had a huge impact on my mobility. Fortunately, I still have complete use of my arms and hands, and brain!
I'm in the process of finding old photos and printed matter so that I can reconstruct that time which was lost during my coma.
