About Silvana Abram
My philosophical, poetic and material research as an informal ecologically-oriented artist moves from an imaginative process and a mental synthesis, that proceeds to materially developing a dialogue between pictorial, sculptural and photographic elements in a work and then among all works. By enjoying the use of traditional materials of fine arts, mixed with recyclable and technological ones, and by applying the maximum degree of freedom in the selection of the materials and in the interventions over the physical body of canvas or materials - I break what exists to invent the new. I focus on the aesthetic vision of the setting – both on conceptual and sensitive appearance, involving the body also with its phenomenological presence. Why? To search for the expressive alternatives of the artistic language, creating a context of justice and beauty through art. Where justice is beauty, as in the ancient Greek vision. Selected as “Artist of the Day” in Saatchi Arts series by the Saatchi Art’s Curation Team. http://blog.saatchiart.com/post/91063771122/artist-of-the-day-silvana-abram-see-more-works September 21, 2014.
