About Silvana Abram
“in a world crowed of everything I prefer the mental synthesis.” SA. My philosophical, poetic and material research as an informal ecologically-oriented artist moves from an imaginative process and a mental synthesis, that proceeds to materially develop a dialogue between pictorial and sculptural elements in a work and then among all works. I'm experiencing which creative contamination can develop between the narrative language of my painting and the fragmentary language of my sculpture; which conciliatory synthesis is possible between idea and concrete form in my informal setting - through the interaction of painting and sculpture (or its features). Colors are my preferred medium as conductor of dialogue between forms of semantic expression like painting and sculpture. By enjoying the use of traditional materials of fine arts mixed with recyclable and technological ones -to boost the most expressive potential of the work, I invent other possibilities. With a glance at the use of words and Feminine world in the contemporary time. In this way, my following collections were born: “3D paints” where canvases are painted, cut, folded and sewn. “Poor art of luxury” created by assembling multiple pieces of original Murano glass'scraps (made by a Murano flame glass Master) refused in a single piece; the related “PSC collection” where “Scraps of original Murano glass sculptures” have been set on a painted cut, folded and sewn canvas. The more recent works “Interaction”. Through my works I want to mentally activate the audience, so that the public transcends the “here and now” and tunes with the works, to experience art.
