Gator Aid depicts a girl transporting a cat carrier on the back of an alligator. She is poised on the edge of a swamp about to embark on a deep water crossing .It is twilight or perhaps dawn? .Her expression is enigmatic as she ponders the way forward .This work was painted shortly after my brother died .I had traveled back to my home town for the first time in a great many years to attend his funeral and bring his cat home with me.
