This painting is part of a series of three large format canvases in a graphic/pop style that recall some controversial aspects of today's life. This artwork in particular, refers to the difficulty of finding one's own path - existential and working - because we often feel lost in a labyrinth of options and possible choices so vast as to make our decision-making power almost nil. The rice paper inserts contain names of professions in Italian and English, a language also widely used in my country to define all the new professions born as a result of globalization and the development of new technologies.

I am a visual artist living and working in Turin. In my practice I usually take visual references from the universe of swimming to create artworks that deal with contemporaneity and the new problems involved in being part of it, with particular regard for the environment and young people’s difficulties in finding their way for the future. In my main painting series Pools (2017 - ongoing), I use recurring elements in my own life experience, modifying and recombining them in order to create paintings that can provide an active reflection on today's critical issues. Over the last years and within a context of eco-sustainable practice, I've started a study project on recycled materials, in order to find alternative supports to the canvas and question the hierarchy between the various components of the artwork. In my shop you will find also some landscape paintings and studies of old masters that I realized during my art studies.
