Anh Huy Tran

Born into a family of many artists, it seems natural that Tran Anh Huy follows the family’s tradition of developing an interest in fine art at a very young age. He has a long time in painting under the guidance of his own father – artist Tran Mau Loc, a well-known artist in Hue, his hometown.

Huy has a special interest in Impressionism. Light, nature, and the constantly changing seasons on the streets are what really inspires him. With a view of his house, which locates at the riverside, observation of the changing light and its ability to change the touch and feel of a place in seconds has been frequently reflected in his paintings. His ambition is to overcome the challenge of transferring emotion into paintings and to show spectators how a true beauty from a scene could move him.

Traveling around Vietnam and neighboring countries could also bring him experiences. During the trip, he made some serious sketches and brought them into paintings afterward. Places, streets, people from many countries, many cities have been painted out.
