Igor Slyusarchuk

My name is Igor Slyusarchuk. I was born in Ukraine (East Europe Region).
I've graduated from the State Humanitarian University with the professional line - librarian bibliographer.
Actually, I've been painting since the age of five.
My works have been sold in Brazil and Ukraine.
My pictures are research work's result. It's a fascinating combination of Orthodox Iconography and Ukrainian folk motives. That's, in those pictures created by me you can feel more deeply the religious spirit of Orthodox Iconography due to simple, meanwhile mystically designed, ornaments. The Ukrainian folk ornaments tradition has 12 centuries history. We can trace it back to the 9th century AD.
I used to live in a lot of countries (Brazil, Portugal, Spain, India, and Nepal), so I've brought the spirits of those countries into the pictures created by me.
As a matter of fact, all the paintings of mine are the outward expression of my inner spiritual emotions, experiences gained by me in the course of work.
