"My artwork is very close to concrete art and minimalism. Establishing volumes, inventing forms and defining spaces are the main motivations and inspirations for my artworks. Each form is consistently composed and developed to the very last detail. I fundamentally avoid chance occurences, especially when working with steel. The developed, exact forms are always based on accurate planning without much space for changes or modifications. The real creative process to develop the artwork therefore takes place on the paper beforehand. The sculptures formed this way stand for themselves, they are independent structures, and in their geometrical clarity always follow a concrete, formal purpose. Some works are based on rules of a system of dimension and cypher, which is constantly varied and never applied dogmatically. It is a kind of decision-making aid to find the right dimensions."
