Susan Salinger is a highly regarded artist, dancer, choreographer and professional photographer. She has received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and The Society of Publication Designers Award for Photography for her work in Martha Stewart Living. Her photographic clientele is extensive and include Ferragamo, Cartier, J. Mendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Takashimaya, and Forbes Magazine. Using a scanning electron microscope, Susan's ant portraits of extreme close-up imagery can be equated to both alien forms and perfect examples of form and function. She is currently working on an art video and still photography project shot in the Great Salt Lake Basin of Utah, another video essay on jellyfish in the Bosphorus Sea near Istanbul, and will soon begin a series of images of the Sahara Desert to be shot in Morocco in fall of 2018.
Susan Salinger is a graduate of the Julliard School in New York and also has a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University, New York.
Her artwork and choreography have been exhibited and performed extensively across the United States in galleries and performance art theaters such as MoMA P.S.1, The Downtown Whitney Museum, and The Kitchen.
