In 2008 Gloria Ronchi and C. Benghi founded Aether & Hemera Studio, to produce work that lies at the intersections of interaction design, media architecture and contemporary art installation.
Aether & Hemera’s art combines digital technologies, virtual and physical spaces to create immersive and emotional headspaces; their aim is to explore the interconnected relationships between perception, spaces and embodied experiences.
Aether & Hemera’s diverse works – in lighting sculpture, video, and installation - have been exhibited internationally at a broad range of events and locations including, among others, Canary Wharf (UK - 2012, 2017), Vivid Festival in Sydney (AU 2013), Amsterdam Light Festival (NL - 2014, 2016), Enlighten Canberra (AUS - 2014, 2017), Baltimore Light City (USA - 2016, 2018), Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew (UK 2018), Jerusalem Light Festival (IS - 2016,2018), Dubai Emaar Art (UAE - 2018), Constellation Festival in Metz (FR- 2018), Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (SCO - 2019).

Gloria Ronchi grew up in Italy and studied engineer, from 1994 to 1999, at Politecnico di Milano; after her MSc she also obtained an MA at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2004.
C. Benghi trained as an architect at Politecnico di Milano, where he later obtained his PhD (2007), specializing in media architecture. Since then, he has been teaching at various University in Italy and the UK.
