I am an Italian artist based in Padua near Venice. Trained at the high school of graphic design for 5 years, I had the lucky opportunity to have Alberto Biasi as my teacher. Alberto Biasi is one of the most famous contemporary Italian artists and co-founder of the "N" group, or optical art. Thanks to his teachings, I learned to look at geometric shapes and space from a new perspective: perfect, interchangeable forms, endowed with emotional meaning which can be different and infinite, as are their uses and interpretations. Such cold, straightforward figures that seem to leave no room for the imagination but which, through their decomposability and the use of colours and materials, can "speak". We interpret them with the visual standard that are most familiar to us, prescribed by the environment, the culture and traditions and teachings in which we live. They seem so logical and just for the sake of them. Actually, they transmit to us what we prefer to see. After my studies, my work has been divided between advertising and art, but in both fields, I have played a more commercial than creative role, spanning from media advertising campaigns to exhibitions organisation and working at art galleries. My pleasure of making has always been intimate, private and indispensable because it has a therapeutic effect. I consider my collage to be furnishing objects. I search constantly for materials , using paper as well as cardboard of various thicknesses and colours that I work with various types of tools, from technical ones to those intended for everyday use.
